Baby shower dilemma ☹️

Hey ladies!

So originally I was comfortable having a traditional baby shower. We were planning it for late April and we’re going to do it in this huge car club. It’s a giant open space with vintage cars and garage bays we could open for ventilation.

BUT due to my cervix measuring short and the risk of preterm labor I am nervous to be around people so close to my due date. PLUS my bitch of a MIL decided it would be okay to completely disregard the fact that she was sent home from work to quarantine based off an outbreak at work and invite us over for dinner. She didn’t decide to tell us that she should have been quarantined until AFTER her test came back positive. Thankfully my test came back negative! But no I truly don’t even feel like we can trust our immediate family to help keep us safe.

So I had this idea based off a thread I read on here earlier to do a by mail baby shower & then host a sip and see event (no gifts) in late August when more people will be vaccinated and it will be better weather.

I wanted to bounce my idea off others. So what do y’all think about something like that?
