Corticosteroid and TTC
Hi all! DH and I just started our journey TTC. He is 35 and I am 26. About 4 months ago, I hurt my shoulder at work and in October on the 12th, had to get a corticosteroid injection. One of the rarer side effects is menstrual disruption. About 2 week after the shot I started bleeding and it was right around the time AF was supposed to come, so I didn't think anything of it.
Seven days after the bleeding ended, it started again and lasted 2 days, it was very light and faint. 9 days after that I started bleeding like AF all over again.
A pregnancy test was done at my General Practitioners office at a routine appointment, it was negative of course. Followed up with the Ortho who administered the shot and explained the episodes of intermenstrual bleeding and he said he had never heard of that happening before.
I am going to my GYN in two weeks to get her opinion of the situation. I also have PCOS and an irregular, but nothing like this has ever happened before.
I just wondered if anyone else had a similar situation? And if it affected your ability to conceive.
