What employers / managers out there need to understand is that your staff really doesn’t owe you a Two Weeks Notice before they quit. That’s a courtesy, if anything.

The only reason it’s considered a professional practice is for y’all convenience.

That’s why y’all fear monger people into believing that their future employment will be doomed if they have a history of leaving jobs without a notice when legally y’all aren’t even supposed to be able to reveal that information to their next employer.

When y’all no longer need certain employees and y’all fire them, y’all do not give them a Two Weeks Notice. Many people are totally caught off guard and left having to battle with Unemployment or frantically find another job.

And to keep it totally 100, a lot of y’all don’t deserve a Two Weeks Notice because you didn’t deserve the labor you got from that employee in the first place, as harshly and unfairly as you treated them.

Just be grateful they didn’t knock all that shit over or steal something on the way out.
