Bicornuate uterus with rudimentary horn tragic event
The events leading to me finding out I had this type of uterus were unimaginable. On NYE, I had a uterine/placental rupture in my right rudimentary horn, which resulted in an emergency life saving surgery, and the loss of my sweet baby boy at 19 weeks.
I am recovering okay, but worry about my future of conceiving and having a healthy normal pregnancy. I have to wait 12-18 months before getting pregnant safely again per my doctor. I am essentially left with the remaining part of my uterus/left mature horn, left Fallopian tube and ovary. They saved my right ovary as well but had to remove the right Fallopian tube with my right horn. I am left with a unicornuate uterus now...
Anyone else have any insight on any of this? Not sharing this to scare anyone, but to get some support and hope for the future. I am struggling with the reality of my situation and loss.
