I’m in Sacramento and the hospitals are requiring them for both mom and dad even if you test negative. 
Now that being said, I told my OB I will refuse to wear one if it makes me uncomfortable. Not trying to be a pain in the ass but when I’m laboring I don’t want anything making me feel even more hot, sweaty, agitated... He said that once I’m admitted, they can’t refuse me medical attention. He said that some nurses may push back and request I wear it but if I refuse it’s my right and that really the end of the story lol

For dad yes, for mom no if you test negative for COVID, yes if you test positive.

That’s our hospitals technical rule, and it’s only if staff is in your room. But like several nurses and my OB has told me, they’re not going to put my mask on if i take it off! I was in on and off for a few weeks because of preterm labor and my nurses nor my doctor were strict about it at all!

At my hospital long as you are in your room you don’t have to since the nurses have to keep a mask on at all times but if dad has to leave the room for food or to go out in the hall then a mask is required. They do covid test on mom and dad before being admitted tho.

Yes, but no. Technically masks are required if hospital staff are in room unless you are in the “active labor” stage (5+ cm) but the nurses/Drs aren’t very strict on it for laboring patients. My husband will have to be masked unless hospital staff are not in the room though.

Technically yes but I’ve heard it’s up to the nurses and dr’s discretion if they are okay with you taking it off at any point, but you must have it on when outside of your room. My husband isn’t allowed to leave once he enters the hospital either, but we can have food delivered to the hospital if we want.

I spend the weekend in L&D following a car accident this weekend and they technically had a mask rule but none of my nurses cared because they all either already had it or were vaccinated. They required it if i was walking in the hallways and when transporting me from trauma to L&D. My husband didn’t have his on when he was in the room either.
