Tampon Pain

So I’m 23 and have been using tampons since I got my period when I was like 12/13 so I know what I’m doing size and adjusting to my flow wise. However the last four or five cycles I’ve been getting bad butt cramps and like vagina soreness while on my period. I’ve adjusted tampons and only use what is needed for my flow and putting them in and taking them out hurt but it is because it feels sore inside and not because it is dry. When I bend over a certain way or move a certain way I get a sharp cramping pain INSIDE me when I use tampons. It feels like both vagina and butt cramps at the same time. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Especially if you’ve used tampons a long time.

Also, I was on birth control for like 4 years until May 2020 so anyone had similar experiences let me know. Currently I am not on any birth control.
