So I really don’t mean for this to sound entitled or ungrateful in any way. I am just hurt and over-emotional right now.

My work threw a “drop in” baby shower for me and two other pregnant coworkers (to just drop off diapers/wipes/gift cards for us). I wasn’t expecting to have a shower or sprinkle at all because of COVID and because this is my second child. So it was super sweet for them to think of us. People who don’t even know me very well even gave me diapers/wipes, which is just the nicest thing ever!

However, one of the people on my team and the office staff (who are the people I am closest to) didn’t do anything. I don’t need or want l anything from them, but it just hurts my feelings that they couldn’t be bothered to even write a card. The girl on my team is also pregnant. I gave her tons of baby stuff over the past several months, clothes, and a gift card. I didn’t do it to get anything in return, but it kinda of stings.

It makes me really appreciate the sweet people out there who barely know me, but make way more effort.
