So I think my 8 month old cat has anxiety. Every time I’m in bed he will constantly scratch the carpet and meow constantly, constantly bites and scratches me/partner and furniture.

He has lots of toys that we interact with him, he just chooses not to play with them, he has been like that since we got him roughly at 12 weeks old.

We’ve tried neutering him, every time he bites/scratch we shout (not directly) and say No or bad.

Has anyone tried calming sprays/medication to stop this? Yes I understand that he’s still a kitten BUT he should’ve learned by now as I’ve tried to train him but its like he doesn’t want to learn.

Also we can’t have him in our room as I’m expecting my first baby in a few weeks so he’s been out the room since June (which wasn’t a problem as there are other rooms he can go into)

He’s also a house cat as we live in a flat, he eats perfectly well, give him treats alllll the time, uses his litter tray AMAZINGLY! Doesn’t spray or anything

He can be SOOOOO CUTE and cuddle in with you and sleep and purr etc but it’s like a switch and he changes. We haven’t EVER hurt him so we just don’t understand why he like either good or bad. It’s like he hates getting clapped sometimes too as he still bites but other times he will purr purr away
