I knew the algorithm used data from your phones apps to find content that you would like, but I’m so over TikTok.

My grandmother died yesterday this my morning dad called to tell me that she would be cremated later today. An hour after that phone conversation I had a TikTok appear in my for you feed which showed the process of water cremation. Then just now a TikTok of a man scooping what looked like ashes into a coffee mug with the caption “my grandmother was cremated” I am so beyond disgusted with the invasion of privacy and content TikTok thought was appropriate.

I did not google cremation, I didn’t mention it on any other apps. TikTok clearly has access to the microphone and picked up words from a conversation. I also had access to the microphone and photos turned off.

I just wanted to share. I feel like these apps go to far.
