Are you pregnant? I was told during my pregnancies that ibuprofen was not good during pregnancy because it could cause low amniotic fluid and damage to the baby's heart, especially during late pregnancy. Google says benadryl is safe, but I'd ask your doctor to be safe. If you're not pregnant and asking because you're breastfeeding, then ibuprofen is safe and I took it pp while breastfeeding all of my children and it was prescribed by my doctor. Not sure about benadryl, but Google says it is generally safe but could affect the flow of your breastmilk and could pass to the child.
