Let me start off by saying I’ve been going to this beauty supply store for about 10 years. Since they first opened when I was in high school. The woman that owns it has always been really nice & helpful, even tho she never remembers me lol. After about a couple years, I noticed that the store doesn’t get stocked much, she never has any new hair (like very popular hair & wigs that are out on the market now), & her prices are way jacked up. One pack of hair I can get for $15.99 at another beauty supply, but at hers the same exact pack was $35. She also told me, about 2 years ago, that she’s been stressed with the business because they haven’t been making any profit. So that’s another reason I shop there. I like to help local businesses. HOWEVER, I think this pushed me to the point of never shopping there again. Last month I went to her shop to purchase some hair. It’s usually like $20, but at her shop it was $40. I purchased 2 packs. The type of hair I wanted was silky straight. I went to checkout, we had small talk, & I left. When I got to the parking lot I noticed that I accidentally grabbed “kinky straight” instead of silky. I went back inside & told her I accidentally grabbed the wrong pack & if I could just exchange it for the correct one. She told me unfortunately all sales are final & no exchanges or refunds. There’s also a sign by the cash register that says that. I mean, I understand if I had bought, took it home & tried to return it the next day, but I literally was in the parking lot for 5 seconds. She asked if I just wanted to purchase the correct one & I said “no thanks” & walked out. This completely turned me off to shopping there again.

Would you shop here again? Do you think she was right?
