When did your child start school?

Here it's in August year they turn 6, so some will be 6,5 some only 5,5. 
Before that there's kindergarten (daycare) everyone that wants their kid to go there can start August the year they turn 1.

Here starting age is 4. You have the option to skip pre-K then they would start at 5.

My son has been going to a preschool since 17 months. It is mostly play-based obviously, but they do have some learning.

My oldest was almost 6 when she started kindergarten because she’s a November baby. Her little sister is a November baby too and so she will be almost 6 as well. I stay home so they don’t go to daycare or preschool. They have no problem socializing or with academics. They’re actually advanced. And they do extra curricular activities as well.

I enrolled my son in a play based preschool at 3, but he didn’t start an academic program until he went to kindergarten at 5. Same with my daughter, although she started preschool at 2.
