My daughter helped a man stop crying

I was at the mall with my 14 month old and she was fighting me about being in her stroller do I let her walk while holding my hand. She does still use a pacifier, and we do plan to wean to. I was walking to buy some food at the food court but I felt her slip from my hands and start running. She is very fast for 14 months and I'm being stupid trying to run after her with the stroller, and then I get more than two brain cells and leave the stroller behind. When I finally grab her she had ran up to a man who seemed to be in his late 20's. She also looked like he had just been crying. I pick her up and she takes her pacifier out of her mouth and tries to give it to him. I think her baby logic was, I suck on a pacifier to help me feel better so if he has a pacifier he will feel better. The guy took it and just started laughing. I did too. I told him I hope he's okay and he said things are just rough. He tried to give her back her pacifier but she wasn't having it. She pretty much demanded he keep it. The man just said thank you and I again told him I hope things get better. I feel like babies just have a way with people. They are so innocent and even though I don't want my daughter running off talking to strangers, I can tell she will have a big ❤
