First Appointment to Confirm Pregnancy, what happens?

I'm so nervous!

So I see a reproductive specialist as I've had a couple miscarriages in the past. I called and told them I received positive pregnancy tests and was late for period. The nurse scheduled me for bloodwork on Tuesday. Is that all that's going to happen? Bloodwork? I really don't wanna drive 30min and pay a $50 copay just for bloodwork.

How did everyone else confirmation appointments go?

The bloodwork confirms if the pregnancy. I had a chemical pregnancy once and even though EPT and First Response said "congrats" I wasn't pregnant. The blood work counts the hCG beta levels to show how pregnant u are.
Depending how late your LMP you'll have a transvaginal ultrasound.

My confirmation appt was just teaching prenatal stuff. My second appt was a transvaginal u/s and a history and physical.

At mine they drew blood and also asked me tons of questions about my past, my plans for the pregnancy, my health history etc. That was about it. But it took a while.

I didn't get confirmed at my first appointment. I was a walkin on a separate day and they confirmed it. But at my first appointment, they asked a bunch of questions, I got an oral exam done, a pelvic exam, 10 tubes of blood drawn, and then set up my appointment for an ultrasound for the next day!
