At my first OB appointment last Friday, I was supposed to be 9w6d but the doctor did an ultrasound and said my baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks, and she couldn’t find a heartbeat. She was very quick to give me my ‘options’ (let nature take its course, medication, or D&C). She wanted me to get some blood work done (CBC and Rh Factor) and come back in a week. I thought it was strange how quickly she jumped to that conclusion since I have zero signs of a MC (no cramping, never spotted once since I got my BFP), and how she also neglected to include any blood work to test my hormone levels. Back in 2012, I had low estrogen and figured that might be an issue when I wanted to start trying for a family, but I was in such shock I didn’t bring it up to her at the time. When I went to get my blood work done yesterday, I noticed the diagnoses was Threatened Abortion. This just made me more confused because of what my doctor was eagerly wanting me to decide to do at my last appt. when I’ve read that TA’s have a 50/50 shot of continuing on to be viable pregnancies. So my question is for anybody that has been dx’d with a threatened abortion that’s had no bleeding or cramping, what was the outcome? I’m scared, nervous, confused, but also a little hopeful.
