Sleep or Pump?

Question

My 3 month old baby slept for 8 hours last night! I didn’t realize it until I woke up at about 7 hours in and my breasts were FULL! I pump before I go to bed after I feed her at night, am I supposed to still get up every couple hours and pump even though she doesn’t wake up to eat?

No way... if she sleeps like that consistently I wouldn’t... just before bed and in the morning IF you need to save milk for workdays. If not, I’d only do nighttime to build a little babysitter stash.

I would pump at the 4 hour mark from the last time you fed her.

I highly recommend pumping at least once in middle of the night to avoid mastitis. I had it a few times and it was like death.

If you are working I would still pump once over night. 
However if you are at home I wouldn’t. Baby will naturally start taking in more milk during the day increasing your day supply.

If you need to save milk for workdays but you don’t get enough without that middle night pump that’s different though.

Yes I would pump just to make sure your supply doesn’t dip and if you need that milk for anything in the future it’s good to have on hand
