I recently practiced the flash card with my baby and realised she was staring at the right one.

Babies learn best through natural play.  Structuring a 2 month olds learning is not going to offer any benefits

Flash cards are not necessarily the most effective teaching tool to begin with (not saying you can’t use them, but kids tend to learn better with hands on activities) but 2 months is definitely too young for them to grasp the concepts and it was chance that they looked at the right one. Babies like pictures, but they do not even know what those pictures represent yet, that cognitive process just isn’t there at 2 months.

I think any interaction with baby is good. Singing music 🎶 just talking to them playing with them is all healthy for development. It’s all positive so I think it creates more positivity. Like baby’s happiness and security. weather it’s to early for flash cards or not just you talking and spending time is great!!

Far too early. She isn’t going to comprehend anything along those lines and if she looked at the right card it was coincidence. I wouldn’t stress over flash cards or cognitive learning with a newborn, she will pick up on things just from daily interactions and activities that she gets exposed to.

However they learn better through activities  ( reading)
