Meeting Grandparents
“When can I hold that sweet baby!?”😖- My LO is 6 weeks old, and I’d be rich if I had a dollar for every time the grandparents asked when they can hold our daughter. As a new mom, I’m feeling a lot of anxiety and pressure to make the grandparents happy, but feel that the risk to my baby is far greater and just not worth it. Curious what others are doing and how they are handling the situation. What did that discussion look like for you?
-Are you having the grandparents wear masks/wash hands to hold baby?
-Are you having the grandparents quarantine first?
-Are you requesting that they maintain precautions when out in the community?
-Did you make sure anyone holding your baby was vaccinated with flu/tdap?
Thanks in advance mamas!💖
