February baby turned into a January baby ❤️
I was due Feb 6 and thought I would be late! I wanted to avoid that so I thought I’d try to self induce. I wasn’t really expecting anything to work and I still don’t know if it attributed to him coming early, but my first was super late, so maybe it did help!
Heres what I did:
Pumped 15 each breast alternating for an hour two nights before labor (I only did this once for a total of one hour)
Ate 6 dates daily since 37 weeks
Ate a whole pineapple two nights before labor
Went for a walk (1.5 miles)
I started having sporadic contractions on 1/26 and suspected it was early labor. I went to sleep thinking it would be gone in the morning since they were so far apart! I woke up the next morning and the contractions picked up. They were about seven minutes apart and quickly fell to five minutes. They varied from 5-3 minutes apart for the next hour. I called the doctor and they told me to go in!
Hubs and I went in to the hospital 1/27 at 1pm and I was 4cm dilated and 80% effaced. Since I was having very consistent and close contractions, they kept me.
I got the epidural at about 3:30 and we waited.
At 9:08 pm on January 27, 2021, our sweet Griffin Taylor was born! 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 20 in. long ❤️ I couldn’t have asked for a better labor. I was 38w4d.
Wishing all the mamas with upcoming due dates the best of luck. I have loved this group so much! Thank you for everyone who helped make my pregnancy so easy 💕
