Vasectomy vs. tying tubes

From experience, which one would be easiest and most effective route? I am 110% done after my 3rd baby and don’t want to have to worry about an unplanned pregnancy! My fiancé is actually suggesting him getting a vasectomy so I don’t have to go through another procedure after having 3 baby’s already.

A vasectomy is both less invasive and more effective.

Vasectomy. The overall process and recovery time with a vasectomy is MUCH better than getting your tubes tied. My mom had hers done after me (granted, this was back in the 90’s, I’m sure it’s a lot easier now than it was then) and said the recovery time was worse than the c-section she had with my brother. Vasectomies are also more easily reversed, in case he ever changes his mind. They also tend to be more affordable. It makes more sense to unload the gun than to shoot at a bullet proof vest!

Definitely go with the vasectomy. When you compare the level of risk associated with both procedures, there's a vas deferens.:D

It's better for the man. When woman get the tubes typed it can cause bleeding. My cousin got her tubes tied and was bleeding for a year. I'm sure things are better now a days but it's still better for a man to get a vasectomy.

Vasectomy. Less complications. Shorter recovery time. Less invasive.

I dont have personal experience with this but my husband said he would get a vasectomy before i ever got my tubes tied because he knows theres always a chance i would want another, recovery would be easier for him, and overal the procedure is easier for men than women. Its also easier to reverse for a man too so thats what weve *temporarily* agreed on when we feel we are ready

Having a vasectomy increases the chances of prostrate cancer by a small percentage- having your tubes removed decrease the chance for uterine cancers by a small percentage. I’m having a scheduled C-section and will have my tubes removed then! If I weren’t having the C-section, I would have to have a different type of conversation to weigh the surgery risks

My partner got a vasectomy so I didnt have to worry about BC. If he is willing to do it I’d let him

My ex husband and I decided three was enough. He brought up him doing it. We looked into it and it was easier for him than for me as far as the procedure. Do he had it done. Just be sure to go to that flow up visit to make sure his sperm count gets checked.
