I'm currently 25 weeks and 1 day with my first baby and wanted to know how other people got their dogs ready for the arrival of their little ones.

I have 2 Labradors, tulip an 11 year old black lab and her daughter jersey a 7 year old chocolate. They've been around children and toddlers before but never under a year old.

They have been around plenty of baby animals and helped me to raise kittens, rabbits, chickens and even ducks so I know they can be very gentle and nurturing but I wanted to know how to prepare them for the arrival of a human baby.

They have been very gentle, loving and even protective of me throughout the pregnancy so far so I know they know something. They are also indoor/outdoor dogs and get upset if they are outside when it gets dark (Jersey knocks on the doors and windows and cries until we bring her in) I still intend for them to keep living their normal life just with a baby too.
