Slow Miscarriage?

Hi ladies,

Sorry for the sensitive topic but I’ve never had a first trimester miscarriage (only a 2nd trimester loss at 20 weeks) and I feel lost and need help.

I always thought miscarriages were rather quick. For those who’ve had late first trimester miscarriage (like after 10 weeks), how did you know & how long did it last once you began bleeding?

I’m 11 weeks 5 days today. I’ve been having issues with spotting since 8.5 weeks. First it was brown (tried not to worry), then it turned red right before 10 weeks. I’ve rushed to the doctor every week of this pregnancy, expecting not to see the heartbeat but have been surprised every time. Baby is growing (actually measuring 4 days ahead & always has a good strong heartbeat). The doctors can’t find the source of my bleeding and they just keep saying I have to “wait it out”. I’ve been “waiting it out” for almost 3 weeks now and it is killing me slowly to live in fear & not know if my rainbow baby is going to make it.

A few days ago, I started cramping and having more red blood like a light period. Ran to the doctor and all was fine. But I’ve continued to have these cramps (I’ve hydrated as much as possible) and some light red bleeding.

Am I miscarrying? The hardest thing is my baby seems to be doing fine (also had NIPT testing which came back normal). I’m already on progesterone. What the hell is going on?!
