38 weeks.

Justine

Okay guys, I’m gonna be 38 weeks on Tuesday and I’m being induced at 39 weeks.

I wanna try and get my body to go into labor itself if I can so I can experience it and I wanna start trying that at 38 weeks. So, give me all your tips on how I can try to get this baby out on her own (of course I know it won’t work unless she’s ready) and please don’t suggest castor oil. Again I won’t be trying any of this until I’m 38 weeks (currently 37+4) so please don’t try and tell me I shouldn’t try getting her out on my own. I’m just in a lot of pain and I’m like 100% done lmao

In terms of the pumping I think it’s like 15 minutes on 5 min off for an hour or something. Have sex, do a lot of walking, do some squats, eat all the spicy foods. Drink red raspberry leaf tea.

Why are you being induced do you mind me asking? If you want to experience naturally occurring labour can you not just wait?

Oh gosh, yes if it's on medical grounds you cant really wait it out. I was only 6 days past my due date when spontaneous labour started, I was just chilled out, not bothered when it would happen. Bouncing on my birthing ball and doing lots of hip stretches and swaying, on all fours a lot (which is how I ended up giving birth) but I was low risk all the way through my pregnancy so the midwives weren't bothered about me going overdue. I believe being relaxed really helped, I was just so calm and practicing my breathing and having cold baths (it was HOT in august in the UK when I was heavily pregnant).

High BP and I had a heart attack when I was 13 weeks and my doctor doesn’t feel comfortable letting me go past 39 weeks.
