Baby doesn’t want to breastfeed
I gave birth on Tuesday (02.02) and here in japan the nurses don’t give you the baby to try to feed immediately. In case they keeping the baby for one day because the “mother needs rest” and they feeding here with formula. So after one day of giving birth I could finally try to breastfeed my baby but she didn’t want to accept the boobs after she ate from bottle. I’m really struggling with her because I always planned that I will feed my baby only with breast milk but now I have to give her formula too. First I’m always trying with the breast but she pushes it away or she starting to suck it for seconds then she stops or she just fall asleep during that. I’m afraid that I won’t have enough milk so until we’re in the hospital (we will go home tomorrow) I’m trying to pump it out with my hands.
For those who had struggle with the breastfeeding do you have any good advice what can I do to make things work? Should I just leave the formula and wait until she will be that hungry that she will try to eat from the boobies?
