Is your baby always wearing a hat when outside?

My bfs family seems to think all babies need to be wearing several layers of clothing and have a beanie on even when we’re indoors and also bundled in blankets(We live in CA btw so never that cold). But I know my son and he gets warm easily and is uncomfortable when he is. What do u guys think? FTM so genuinely curious if babies really should be super bundled up

I live in Canada so it’s freezing right now when we do go outside we have a really warm sleep, thick snowsuit and a hat on. But if she’s just in her car seat going out to the car we just have a blanket on her with a thick car seat cover

I'm in the UK and it is cold here but she has a thick snow suit on which I put the hood up on when we are out and shes in her pram 🤷‍♀️, I'd neve put a hat on her in the house it can over heat them as they regulate temperature from their head xx

We live in SoCal and we only put a beanie on if we do a night walk and it’s cold outside. Our boy runs hot so usually indoors a simple long sleeve onesie and pants. If his feet are cold I’ll put sucks on but usually they’re not. Listen to your mama instinct. You got this!

I live in Indiana and it’s cold here right now. But my baby gets hot! It’s warm my car up and put a onesie on under his outfit or just a regular outfit and put a baby blanket over him. It’s warm in my car 🤷🏻‍♀️. But I also have a cover thing over the car seat for when we’re outside of the car.

It’s cold where I am so he wears a hat (sometimes 2) every time we go outside, but never inside

I'm in the uk also, even in the snow we havent used a hat, just a thick snow suit and hood up, she over heats with a hat on azad and gets heat rash, she never gets cold, and if she does we use blankets

I put yes when I meant to vote sometimes. I think it depends where you live. I currently live in Washington, so I put a little baby beanie on my son when it’s really cold. But I have lived in Southern California and would not be putting a hat on him if I still lived there..

Socks yes, hat no. Especially in California 😂😂 I live here too. Maybe at night when it's cold but my baby has quite a bit of hair so I don't even bother

My baby does all the time when outside. It’s winter in Indiana and can get down to single degree temps. At home he doesn’t wear a hat though I do consider having him wear gloves.

My daughter sweats a lot if she’s covered up. I’m in Az so it hasn’t been cold. I’ll put on some little sweats and a onesie and bow. And even then sometimes she’ll sweat so I take her sweats and socks off.
