Aggravated AF!
Has anyone else had problems with their care providers fat shaming them?? When I was about 24 weeks I was told to try to lose weight. I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension this week, based off of ONE bad blood pressure reading... she attributed it to my weight, “oh it’s because you’ve gained too much weight and haven’t been making good food choices” I have been trying my best to just eat right, and for the most part, I do! I recently switched to a new midwife, and she is confused as to why I was told I have hypertension when my blood pressure is fine everytime I see her. She is very frustrated as well because everyone else wants to induce me early because of my blood pressure. She makes me feel a lot more comfortable, but I’m just so tired of fighting them, feeling like I owe them an explanation or feeling embarrassed everytime I go see them. I feel like I should be ashamed of myself, even though I know I shouldn’t be... UGH!
