Anyone from UK taking/taken clomid?

What type of monitoring do you get in the UK on the NHS?

I am UK. I'm waiting for a call from the fertility clinic to have my first appointment. I can't wait to get the ball rolling. It feels like the longest 9 month wait of my life! x

How do you get them to prescribe this? Iv had lots of blood tests,scans and have pcos got 2nd appt wiv gynae and they want to do a scan? Again? I just want treatment :( what can i expect from them now?

​I had Clomid for 6 months on the NHS. They basically give you it and send you on your way to try. I had no monitoring whilst on it. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Be ready for the terrible mood swings, i turned evil, even work colleagues were scared!! 
​The hot sweats are terrible, I felt like I had the flu in the night for 6 months. One tip for the headaches,  take it about 9pm with two paracetamols so you don't suffer and are asleep. I found this advice useful from month 3 onwards. 
​I hope it works for you, it didn't for me, had to wait for IUI to get us pregnant, don't give up. Xx
