When is it too early to announce?

We got our BFP and my husband wants to announce it already. I’m with him, but is it naive to announce it before a doctors appointment?

You can announce anytime you want!
I told immediate family at 5 weeks and friends at 6 weeks because I would have wanted their support if anything were to happen and I couldn’t imagine hiding a miscarriage from them.
I announced on social media at 10 weeks on Easter!

Personally I would wait until your first appt to confirm the pregnancy. That being said, it is absolutely you and your husband's choice - and only your choice! I was so excited that I didn't wait and called my parents immediately. We told everyone close to us, but waited to announce on social media.

We announced to close family/friends pretty soon after we found out. If something were to happen (it did for one of ours), it’s not like they’re going to rub it in your face or make fun of you.
We waited to tell other people until the 12 week-ish mark.

You can announce whenever you want. We always always announced right away 🤷🏻‍♀️ at 4-6 weeks whenever I got the positive test. 6 weeks with my first, 5-6 weeks with 3 miscarriages I had and 3 weeks with my last baby 🤷🏻‍♀️
