What to expect at first doctor's appointment?

My first appointment is Monday, February 15 & I'll be 8 weeks. I was wondering what should I expect? Will I get to see my baby in an ultrasound or will they just perform a pregnancy test & blood work? I'm kind of anxious about it because a friend of mine suffered from a blighted ovum a few months back. I just don't want this to be the same thing.

I had an vaginal ￼ultrasound. And got pictures. I honestly can’t remember when I got blood work done though. I’m not even sure if they did it 😂.

This was from 7 weeks. And I have one from 10 weeks that looks like a baby not a dinosaur 😂

My office did an ultrasound, confirmed the pregnancy, blood work, and then he talked to me about family history, work history, medical history (I switched practices and this was also my first appointment with them)

Many doctors do a first ultrasound at 8 weeks but a lot wait till 12. On my patient portal I could see that I really had two appointments one for an ultrasound and one with the doctor. 
A lot of OBs will ask you about a pelvic exam and Pap smear if you are due for those. But other than that they take an extensive history and talk to you about genetic testing. 
My suggestion is to come with any questions written down so you don’t forget. I never do this and even on my second kid I still have questions!

At my DR they do an ultrasound as well on the first visit, but I think it depends on the practice
