Is it normal for a dark spot to appear back on my leg after having a punch biopsy and melanoma being ruled out?!

I had a biopsy done in December and they said everything came back GOOD, and now this spot has appeared. What the heck? It’s back where it started when I first noticed a dark spot on my leg? I did have stitches and I removed them myself and I accidentally left one in and that just came out a few days ago. Could that cause it to be dark like this?

I had a punch biopsy on my breast and it looked like that soon after the procedure. Now it’s been over a year later and I still have a purple/red mark on it that doesn’t look like it’s ever going away.😑

I had a punch biopsy on my back a couple years ago, all good just scar tissue, and the skin grew back looking exactly like what they had removed. Started out like yours and eventually lightened a little tiny bit.

It looks like a scab honestly. If you just had another stitch come out it’s likely still healing. My husband had a punch biopsy done on his shoulder a few months ago and that thing took way longer than I expected to heal.

I didn’t have a punch, but I had a biopsy and mine grew back pretty nasty looking. I wouldn’t worry if your results were clear 😊
