Thoughts on going to Costco with a 6 week old?

Have to go grocery shopping with no one to watch the baby so I’m not sure what to do.

Why isn't there a "Go it's fine" option? Put baby in a carrier so you have both hands free for the cart and people won't be tempted to touch like they are with a car seat and you'll be good to go.

I would go when they open, on a weekday. Otherwise it is what it is, if you can order groceries for pickup or delivery (or at least do some of your shopping this way) I would do that to cut the trip as short as possible. Take baby in the car seat and covered. Y’all will be ok

I’d rather do pickup before going out. Not only because of covid but the flu and rsv. I’m pretty sure Costco has next day pickup, but if you’re in dire need then keep the baby in car seat with car seat cover on.

I take my daughter shopping with me every week. I assume u aren’t going to pass her around to strangers in the store while u shop.

She just turned 8 weeks.
I have her in the Moby wrap all snuggled up.

I have when I had no choice. I wore my baby and was quick in and out.

If you can do pick up or dilivery that is propbably your best bet. But if that is not an option take baby in a car seat or carrier with a cover. 
When you go in take a list it will make a differance as far as time goes. 
A "pro tip" if the store has a website sometime you can look up the item and where it is located in the store.
I do this so that I'm not having to go back and forth tring to find things.
Being prepared can go along way in keeping you and baby safe; hope this helps.
Ps if you do go in try only tuck things that you need. I carry a little bottle of hand sanitizer on my diaper bag for my hands before tuching baby after a grocery trip.

My LO is 8 months old and she has been grocery shopping with us since since was about 1.5 months old. The only time we didn’t bring her was when our city/state peaked in October.

It’s fine... nobody gets close my kids in the cart.
