Currently I am 8 weeks along with my first baby. My doctor won't see me for even the lab work until the 19th and then I guess I go back to review that on the 25th and meet her. I asked the front desk and her nurse whether I would get a sonogram And she told me no.. I don't understand why if I'm going to be that far along I can't get a sonogram..? This is my first pregnancy so obviously I'm going in blind with everything but I am seeing over and over again women around 5:00 to 6 weeks getting their first look at the baby and the heartbeat but yet my doctor is telling me I don't get to have a sonogram and in all honesty it's kind of pissing me off. Like isn't that something that they have to check to make sure that the baby is developing correctly and is in the right place? especially considering this is my first pregnancy don't they want to verify that things are going right? Can I request it or will they still be able to refuse? Or will they still be able to refuse?
