Ambulance baby!

I went to bed last night with what I thought was prodromal labor. I started having contractions after dinner but they were immediately 4-5 minutes apart and only slightly painful. I timed them for a few hours but didn’t see a change so went to bed around 10pm.

Well I woke up at 12:40 from a very painful contraction. I also felt some pressure and thought maybe I was having diarrhea. The pain and pressure intensified quickly. After a little while on the toilet I realized I must actually be in labor. My husband asked if we should leave for the hospital but I was sure I would not make it, so we called an ambulance. I made it just inside the ambulance with the back doors still open before baby boy’s head popped out. He arrived at 1:55am right outside our apt building!

All the nurses kept telling me I should have left earlier but it happened so fast! My first took 18 hours and they had to vacuum her out, so I was not expecting this! Just listen to your body, I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

He is doing well now!
