Anyone else have this happen?

anyone ever went into their ob and them use the Doppler at around 13 weeks and not be able to find the heartbeat? I know the babies basically in my pelvic area. But still scariest thing ever.. she went in and did the ultrasound to make sure she could find it and found it and the baby was moving around I guess. I didn’t get to hear the bear long. But she said everythung was fine. Has this ever happened to anyone ??

That happened to me at my 12 week appointment. Dr couldn't hear the heartbeat but once in a while the numbers would get high. Scared me to death, I almost started crying because I was sure something had happened. My sister in law had just had a miscarriage so that was the first thing on my mind. But the dr had me pee and then baby was right there!! She said sometimes a full bladder actually makes it harder to find baby when they are that small because of the way it squishes your uterus. Plus my placenta is in front so that can make it difficult too.

Yeah i went to the ER and they used fr a Doppler and it took like 10 minutes for her to find a heart beat. I just think dopplers are tricky

My doc told she doesn't do it before 20 weeks, because it is hard to find and she doesn't want to waste time and our both nerves on it.

Mine couldn’t find it at 16 weeks, but she did a quick ultrasound and everything was fine. Baby was just in a weird position.

My doc always had to chase her to get it. It always made the doc laugh, luckily she could find her quickly.
