I'm super late to announcing my baby boys birth but here it is! Due date was 2/1/21. Had a membrane sweep that day at 12, I was 3cm and 70% effaced. Instantly felt the period dull cramping in my back that was constant and lost a bunch of bloody show and mucous plug. Went walking around target and walmart right after, then had Buffalo wild wings to attempt some spicy Mango Habanero wings. I kept losing tons of bloody show every time I went to the bathroom. Still had cramping. Got home around 5 pm and was feeling some irregular contractions here and there, wasn't timing them. Did the miles circuit one more time to keep them coming. Also started bouncing on my ball. By 7 pm, they were getting more uncomfortable, have to breathe through them but I can still talk through them if I have to. My doula comes over and paints my nails as a distraction, I have to get up every 5-10 min to moan and breathe through them. I'm trying to time them as I want to follow the 5-1-1 rule but they're still anywhere from every one min to every 15 min. I've had prodromal labor for weeks and can't trust these are the real deal. Even though they're hurting pretty bad in my back and I have to breathe through them lol. I send my doula home at 1030 as I still think they will die off as they have every night before. Well I go to the bathroom at 11 and I'm wiping tons of bright red blood and mucus and my husband starts to panic. So even though my contractions never became regular, I couldn't walk or talk through them anymore. We get to the hospital at midnight, they put me in a room right away, check me I'm at 5 cm and 90% effaced. I'm trying to go natural without meds but I soon realize I'm having back labor for the third freaking time. So I get in the tub, play some Bob Marley while my husband coaches me and my breathing. At 2 am I'm 6cm I decide on an epidural as they have been every two minutes contractions and I cannot handle the back and hip pain anymore. Epidural in by 3am which made me super itchy all over but oh my God what an amazing discovery to medical science. I'm 8 cm at this point. the nurse mentions I'm losing so much bloody show, she thinks it's possible the membrane sweep from earlier may have caused some of the placenta to tear away so she informs the doctor of this and prepared anti hemorrhage meds. I try and sleep as I'm exhausted from the back to back contractions for the past few hours. They check me at 0520 am and baby's head is right there, I'm complete, finally. Doctor is called in. My nurse had me labor down until the doctor got there. Well 0545 am came and the baby is crowning, I'm not even pushing and the nurse has to catch him. He came out without any pushing! The doctor was right outside the door when my nurse delivered him. He came out so easily, even with a nuchal hand and cord wrapped around his neck, only had a first degree tear. Third baby, 12 hour labor, he is beautiful. Can't believe he is 8 days old already 🥰🤗.

Had a feeling at BWW that I should take a pregnancy picture, so glad I did, it was my last day being pregnant!
