Advice
Ladies, I started my new office Jan 11th at a recorders office for the county. Next week , I’m on my own . Every week since I started I was training in 4 different places. Indexing , mail, customer service over phone , this last week on the window greeting customers and helping them. My job we record deeds and exc. survey maps and every contract you can think of . From the other ladies I have heard a few women have gotten let go , because they didn’t get it . Is a 6m probation to be considered full time 🤦🏻♀️😩 . I’m really having a hard time finding stuff on a system called onbase that goes back yrs and yrs back. What makes me upset is my boss tells me things one time and expects me to remember everything . Every single abbreviation in the instrument guide book. My co workers have been there 7yrs, 4 yrs, 15yrs and still do typos and give the wrong caption on certain documents . I continue making errors and little mistakes as in rossette I will put rosette with one s . Little things like that . I’m afraid of losing my job or getting walked out . How can I focus or remember things if I have so much stress from home building my house and living with family members. My house is ready I need my appliances to do the last inspection to be able to move in . I just don’t know how to do it at my job if I don’t know the meaning of a lot of documents . Easements, affidavits, memorandum deeds. Idk how they expect me to learn everything in a month . There is so many freaking documents for different situations. Ppl come in and I don’t get what they’re doing and I ask for help I’m training in the window and my boss looks at me like ugh you don’t know .
Sorry such a long post .
