Bath and labor???

In your opinion did taking a bath slow your labor down?

Answer

Nope. I always take one before I leave the house. That’s how I know I’m actually in labor and it won’t be stopped.
I have an entire routine.
I sleep as much during the night when the contractions first start.
Then when they are roughly 5mins apart I get up and take a bath and just soak for a bit.
I use the bathroom.
I eat.
Pack my diaper bag and few things for me.
Head to the hospital.
Get epidural
Give birth.

Nope my contractions got way worse and way more intense after I had a bath I was in slow early labour in hospital for a 10 days before my daughter was born

Nope but it did make it 100% more comfortable than my labor with my first where I was not in the bath.

It did for me. Contractions started at 10 pm the night before. I hadnt had any dilation by 9 am. So I went home, took a bath, ate and took a nap and my contractions did slow down. My mom thought maybe I had braxton hicks. That was around noon. So I got up and got moving. The contractions picked up once I started walking around. Daughter was born 4:52 pm.
