Should I get the vaccine? 25 weeks pregnant
So my dr really wants me to get the covid vaccine. I’m 25 weeks and she says I should go now and get it. I work as a daycare teacher so I have exposure all the time. My work has had 7 positive cases since the beginning of everything and we only shut down 3 times. My husband works at a main hospital in my state but he is outside all day and he isn’t sure to get the vaccine for himself yet. So he can bring covid home to me also.
My dr said since I’m high risk with blood clot issues (just taking baby aspirin now) that if I catch covid I will be on lovenox (stomach shots) the rest of my pregnancy and for 6 weeks after I have my baby. So she says the risk of the shot outweighs the risk of me catching covid.
I’m scared to get the vaccine but also scared of the stomach shots. She said one of the dr’s in my practice got it at 28 weeks and now she is 35 weeks and all is good with her and baby.
I’m lost and not sure what to do, what would you chose in my situation?!?!?
