My husband and I are building a house with my parents and their bedroom will be right next to our master bedroom. They won’t be staying with us long term. They live out of state and we decided to build a house together where we have sort of an apartment for them that they can stay in when they come to visit and then they can have their own space with their own kitchen and what not. They will probably come for a few weeks at a time when they come so they can help with our kids and also since they are coming from several states away it makes the trip more worth while for them to stay longer. Anyways, we are totally fine with the situation but we are kind of nervous about like what if we want to have sex? Our bedroom is going to be literally right next to theirs and that would be so awkward if they heard us. Just wondering what others do to be quiet when your parents are over or if you just skip on having sex when they are there? I wanted to chose a house plan where our bedroom would be on the opposite side of the house as their apartment so they could t hear us as much but the plan we picked works so well for us floor plan wise and other houses I found where the master bedroom could be on the other side just didn’t work for us.
