Husband gave me nothing for Valentine’s Day. Would you say something if your partner did this?

Laura

So my husband and I got into a huge argument and didn’t hardly speak for a few days. We finally reconciled yesterday and I gave him his Valentine’s Day gift. He got me nothing but a card. He had even bought flowers and had them delivered to his mom, grandmother, and aunt, but I got no flowers. It’s the first Valentine’s Day since we’ve been together that he got me nothing (married for 2 years, together for 8 years). He said he wanted to take me out to dinner at the restaurant where he proposed but it’s covid and we have a 2 month old at home, so I guess he thought he would do just nothing...?

I’m struggling with what to do. I feel like a jerk if I tell him I’m hurt he did nothing and it will probably start another fight but at the same time I’m really hurt by it especially since so many other women in his life got flowers on Valentine’s Day but I didn’t. I’m not materialistic and I have always told him I don’t need gifts but that I love flowers, even cheap ones from the grocery store. Should I say something?

And for the record, the fight was not my fault. He yelled at our baby after I told him previously that it’s unacceptable to yell at a newborn.
