9 weeks along, have seen baby twice on ultrasound, feel NO attachment towards it at all. Normal?

Have heard heartbeat, seen baby. No tears, no feeling of excitement, nothing?? I don’t feel anything

I didn’t feel connected to my first pregnancy at all. I didn’t even feel connected after she was born for 10 weeks. I am 38 weeks pregnant with our second and haven’t felt connected this time either but I know it will come eventually. There is no “right” way to feel. I think a lot of women are afraid to feel connected because they think something bad may happen.

I think when baby starts looking more like a baby & moving around in there you’ll feel something. I felt this way at my 9 week ultrasound as well, it was just a “blob” lol. I had another ultrasound at 12 weeks & he was so much bigger & moving around in there, thats when I felt something! I felt excited & in awe. I’m hoping for the same experience for you!

I’m expecting my first and as baby is so wanted and for so long, I expected to feel totally in love when I had early scans. I actually felt very little, it was just a blob on a screen. However, once I started to feel baby move and I talk to it and am getting things ready, I feel much more connected. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself to feel something u don’t. There is plenty of time to bond and even if it happens after baby arrives, there’s nothing wrong with that.

I didn’t feel any attachment to my baby until I had her and brought her home 🤷🏻‍♀️. Don’t be too hard on yourself. It’ll come over time. It’s very surreal and crazy so it’s understandable that it might take you some time for it all to sink in. The time that I was still hesitant and not super into my baby was more time my husband got to focus on his bond with baby which is good and needed too!

A lot of woman don’t feel a connection this early in the pregnancy. Some don’t feel a connection until they’re holding their baby in their arms. Don’t feel bad if you don’t feel a connection yet, or at all during your pregnancy. It’s totally normal. I didn’t feel a connection until I could feel my baby move inside of me.

I’m 21 weeks and still don’t really feel super attached outside of a few moments here or there. It’s normal during pregnancy to not feel connection and it can actually be normal for it to take a few weeks after birth to start to feel attached to baby. Itsone of those things i feel needs to be talked about more!
