Baby Aspirin??

Question

Saw a MFM doctor today for my anatomy scan and I was referred to them by my OB office due to high BP in my last pregnancy. The MFM doctor told me to start taking low dose aspirin until 36 weeks. He wrote down 81mg, 2 tablets every evening. But I see a lot of other mamas only taking 81mg a day. Is 2 tablets too much, should I just take 1 a day?

I would just follow the doctor's direction. Theres a reason why s/he prescribed that amount.

I took 81mg with my first pregnancy once a day until the 3rd trimester and then they had me double to dosage. Follow your doctor’s advice. My MFM said the reason I was probably able to carry as long as I did was because I started taking baby aspirin early.

I’m taking two tablets a day at 81. Ive asked a few doctors and they said that was totally normal.

I take 150mg per day and have done since 12 weeks. Am now 35+4 and all is good with baby and me

Ask your doctor. There was a recent study published that showed 2x 81mg tablets taken at bedtime was superior to 81 mg. But your doctor should be able to explain that to you.
