Fetal tachycardia ?

Has anyone’s baby been diagnosed with fetal tachycardia?

I went to my 36 week appointment last night and was sent to L&D because baby’s heart rate was 200bpm. Was monitored for an hour and sent home with an ultrasound scheduled for today because baby’s heart rate stayed between 160-180 bpm.

Of course I googled and am nervous because googles answers are not pretty 😔

My baby had one at my 32 week appointment. His heart rate was 180 at the time, however, he was very active when doctor was listening. They kept me in the office to monitor his heart for 30 minutes. The non stress test showed his baseline at 140 and would raise to 180 every time he moved but would go right back down within seconds. The doctor said he had a good pattern and wasn’t concerned because he would go back to baseline, but still sent me to get an ultrasound same day to do a biophysical. He scored 10/10, good movement, good blood/oxygen flow, baby was already practicing breathing and again his heart would be elevated only when he moved. The perinatologist said his heart rhythm was normal and was not concerned at all. He said some babies just have a faster heart rate when active, but if his heart rate took too long to go back to baseline then that would be a reason to be concerned. I have another biophysical next week at 36 weeks but that’s just because I was very anemic.
