So my good friend’s daughter’s bday is today and I FaceTimed her and said happy birthday. They were going out to lunch and then she asked if they could stop by my house and play some board games. Her daughter loves card and board games. Before covid, we’d stop by each other’s houses all the time. I told her it’s probably not a good idea since I’m 35 weeks pregnant and I don’t need to be getting covid and testing positive in the hospital. I have no idea if they’ll separate me and the baby if I’m positive and I would be devastated. I haven’t seen her in person since beginning of summertime when I found out I was pregnant.

So I basically told her that reason and she got annoyed with me and said I was being dramatic. Am I being an asshole? Im just over here trying to make a smart decision for my family. They also don’t take covid seriously and hang out with her huge family all the time so I really don’t think I’m in the wrong here.
