I have been in a domestic violence shelter for a couple weeks now. I took my kids and left my abusive boyfriend. My daughter is 15 and son is 17. My son is special needs and turns 18 the 1st of March. He has to leave once he turns 18. He needs to be cared for and I have no family willing to help me because they don't have the patience to deal with someone special needs. I may have no choice but to leave. I'm not letting ny special needs son be homeless. My daughter is also worried about what's going to happen to him. I just hate how I finally left out of an abusive relationship and now I may have to make the decision to live in our car for a while.
