When to announce pregnancy?

So I just found out I’m pregnant. It will be awhile before we announce publicly that we are pregnant but not sure when to tell my family.
So my question is, how soon did you tell your close family members?

Whenever you’re comfortable. We’ve told at 6 weeks and we’ve waited till 17. Just depends how supportive your family will be if something goes wrong.

With my youngest son ( he’s 7) we never announced on social media until the night he was born. It was great. A few friends knew and my family knew. I loved all the “omg” we received. Will likely do the same this time.

I waited till I was 8 weeks. Just wanted to make sure everything was fine before I told family and friends. But whatever u feel comfortable with

I called my friend freaking out the day I found out I was pregnant becuse I was in shock. We waited A bit to tell family because I didn’t feel comfortable or I didn’t know how they would react. After that I only told a few friends haven’t announced on social media or anything.

My first pregnancy I told family at 5 weeks but then suffered a loss at 10 weeks and had to spend weeks telling people I didn’t Ben realize knew that I had suffered a loss (and got a lot of unwanted advice) second time I waited until the 12 week and with this pregnancy I waited even longer as I found it was so special just keeping it to myself:)

I told some the very next day. Its really up to yall. Waiting is mostly due to wanting to make sure the little bean sticks without having family and friends know or ask if the little bean doesn't stick. That being  said I didn't tell my work until I was 12 weeks since they didn't need to know asap

My husband and I told our parents and siblings at 6 weeks. There’s really no right answer, it’s whenever you’re comfortable. We’ll be announcing to other friends on St Patrick’s day, I’ll be almost 15 weeks.
