What age does your toddler have to be to go into school? Like preschool?

We are not going to do preschool. I am essentially home schooling right now. The social aspect is lacking and really the only downside of it all- thanks covid. He will be starting kindergarten Sept of 2021. (Omg that's crazy to say) We don't feel the risk at this time is worth enrolling him, if things were different he would be in daycare that has a preschool program.

Where I am, public (free) school starts at 5 for kindergarten. You could probably start paying for preschool at this point. I know pre-K is age 4-5. We're going to homeschool - in my state children aren't required to report their education to the state until age 8, so we'll probably start reporting at that point.

My daughter turned 3 in August and started head start. She’s going to do one more year of head start since Covid happened and she couldn’t even attend in person, then we will do pre-k, then kindergarten. They changed the law where I’m at and she can’t go to kindergarten until she’s 6, so.

We will be starting preschool this year. My daughter is super eager to go to school. Then she will start kindergarten when she’s 5 since the cutoff here is 5 by August 31st.

We start next Monday :) She’s been asking for a month now if she can go to school... so we looked into it. The catholic school by us just started a 3-4 yo preschool program. Then she can start TK (transitional kindergarten) in the Fall. August babies wont get TK in public school (only Sept.-Dec. babies) so that’s why we are doing this. It’s the only way to get her into a TK program.

I think they can go now! Where I live you have to pay for it though. We aren't doing preschool, but I have been thinking about doing activities or sports like soccer, karate, or idk something like that in the summer hopefully.
