Prenatals?

I know some ladies in here don't take prenatal vitamins, but I know some do, I'm just curious, I just found out I'm about 6 weeks pregnant last night and haven't taken them, if I were to start would I be okay?

I think that, in general, our diets aren't enough to provide the nutrition we need to grow a healthy baby AND keep ourselves healthy (even with a wholesome organic diet). I always suggest Garden of Life (despite the controversy, which I believe they have adressed). I love it because it has folate instead of synthetic folic acid, and I never pee it out like I do with most multi's.

I take the Garden of Life RAW prenatals and I really like them. My midwife says they are a good brand also. The biggest thing for me is that it ces from raw, plant based ingredients and that it contains folate, rather than folic acid. If you are going to start them, now is a great time.

I work with my naturopath on what and when I should start taking anything. He's been my guide for supplement for over 8 years so well attuned to my deficiencies.  He also prepared a nutrition plan based on my stages. The problem is because our soil is so compromised it's hard to get proper nutrition from our organic produce, even when grown in our own backyards.

I didn't start taking any till around 11 weeks. Our diets aren't as nutrient dense as they use to be so yes I think you should take them. I take garden of life raw prenatal. The bottle says take 3 a day, but I only take 1.
