Anyone else have a toddler that refuses to sit in the stroller/wagon/bike/anything?

I have #2 on the way and would really like to go for walks occasionally...
We can hardly make it down the block to the park since he wants to be held or walk/get into things on the way there.
Shall I just give up the idea of actually going on a family walk for the next few years or..?

I took a walk by myself today and was actually worrying about the same thing.  My son hasn’t been in the stroller regularly since before winter.  He had to go in it for an appointment at the hospital (I’m also pregnant and didn’t want to carry him from the parking structure and through the hospital while wearing a mask).  He fought and cried the whole time 😩 I ended up carrying him AND pushing the stroller 🙄
I need my walks for sanity!  I’m just going to keep putting him in the stroller and push the walks further and further making him stay in until he gets used to it again.  Walking and running is literally the only way I’m able to work out and I’m not willing to sacrifice that one

When my LO acted like this for a bit we would only walk at snack time. Eating kept him happy and in the chair 😂

I went through a time period where I couldn't go anywhere with my very head-strong toddler and the baby without my husband. You can't handle a toddler tantrum plus infant out in public by yourself.  He would have to agree to the double stroller, or no walk. That stage passed though, it wasn't like years or anything, maybe a year at most.

Yes, my son only wants to walk, be held or push the stroller. Not sit in.

Yes! I had to give up on the idea of family walks/ having a destination or certain distance I want to walk. My son loves to explore and walk so I just have to let him explore and know i might make it 30 steps 😂😂. 
We did buy a step2 push car that he will occasionally ride in but for the most part he wants to walk and explore literally everything.
