Hello ladies,

I have a history of incompetent cervix. I had a birth at 25 weeks, followed by a emergent cerclage at 14 weeks, then a preventative cerclage at 12 weeks. I am almost 10 weeks currently, and have been taking vaginal progesterone supplements just to provide extra support for this pregnancy (I'm 46, and not getting any younger!).

I was just reading some studies that show that vaginal progesterone is as effective if preventing preterm birth due to shortened cervix. I know my cerclages have worked, but I'd love to not have another surgery, if I can help it. Has anyone had any experience with the vaginal progesterone that they can share?
